Megan "Mimi"'s Story
Life
Bill and I have been married for 46 years. No kids.
We bought our house in Montclair (or as Bill calls it "Baja Claremont") in 1978 after an electrical fire destroyed our apartment in Ontario. The day we moved in I discovered Valerie Green Ogden and her family lived across from us. (That's why we work together on the reunions. It's so convenient.) They have been great friends to us all this time.
Bill retired from Honnold, the library of the Claremont Colleges. We are active at our church, Pilgrim Congregational in Pomona (where I'm employed to run the library) Bill served as and I'm chair of the nominating committee.
We volunteer at the Claremont Friends of the Library. If you come to Village Venture and stop by the book sale you might find us.
I'm involved in several animal rescue groups. Bill's special interest is science fiction writing.
We have been playing Santa and Mrs. Claus for several years, first at our church and also at the Rembrandt Club in Claremont and at CAsa Colina. We had another community request we couldn't fulfill so if we ever need a hobby for our retirem...Expand for more

College
Chaffey College 1967-1969 where I met my husband, Bill.
UCR 1969-1971. BA in Poly Sci with a minor in Asian Studies. Bill & I married in our senior year.
Cal Poly Pomona 1976-1978 to get a teaching credential.
Workplace
First job after college Blue Chip Stamps in Ontario, CA where I waited on Kent Brown and Debbie Lowery.
Went back to college for a teaching credential and worked as a teaching assistant to 2 professors.
Worked for House of Ruth in Pomona, a shelter for battered women and their children.
Worked in the Office of Assoc. for the Prevention of Child Abuse, also in Pomona.
I've also worked intermittently at the L.A. County Fair in Guest Services. Valerie got me on the list to work there and she continued after I stopped. Most famous person I helped was comedian Paul Rodriguez.
Worked for San Bernardino County DPSS as a clerk for 3 years in the Ontario office.
Worked at Claremont Public Library for 5 years and waited on Jack Ihm, Christie Andrews, Sharon Hardy and many others.
Currently Church Librarian (a paid position) at Pilgrim Congregational Church, Pomona.
