Meggin's Story
The wildest thing I ever did in High School was during the class trip to New York.
The first night we arrived and got checked in to the motel. My Friend John Dill and I went out to a movie. We didn't ask permission, we had been under the impression that the first night we were to entertain ourselves.
We saw a "R" rated film on Broadway-not the safest part of New York for two hicks from Hanover to stroll through. But my poor choice in wardrobe may have saved us from real trouble. You see I was dressed in a clingly snakeskin pattern pant suit (it...Expand for more
was all the rage back then) an to the locals it probably looked like I was one of the working girls out to show my"john" a good time. So nobody bothered us.
However, back at the motel, panic ensued as a bed check was done and the shaparones came up two missing-me and John.
We stolled back in after the movie-around 11:00pm and Man!-did we get in trouble!
I didn't know exactly how scared the two teachers were until the train ride back, where Mrs. Stokenger (remember her?-History) got really really drunk and kept repeating, "never again, never again"
