Mel's Story
My story is; never left Karns area after scchool. Married Debbie Moore, was married for 17 yrs. Produced 3 sons, all 3 went to and graduated from Karns. All 3 played ball in school. Corey,the oldest,played 4 yrs. of football & baseball. Justin, the middle, played first 3 yrs. of baseball,missed last with injury. Travis,the youngest,played 4 yrs.of football. Very successful and recruited for college football which he declined.Divorced for 15 yrs.then remarried in 2005 to Becky Sadler. I now have 4 gran-daughters,ages 8 months to 8yrs. ocally in K-town. I supervise a company that renovates & paints & special finishes in upper bracket homes & businesses. I am also a 15 yr. vetern as a sports offical. I umpire baseball all through the area,from Crossville to Pigeon Forge. I referee local youth football. I referee for the private and christian school systems in Knoxville area. I spent 10 yrs. in the public school system, then opted for the christian surroundings and comfort. I also called 3 yrs. of college baseball for the jr. college circuit.
