Melanie's Story
Long roads with lots of bumps. Surprisingly I'm alive and the mother of two and the granny of 4.
I always said my goal in life was to run a home for wayward boys and i did. the most remarkable is my grandchildren, they really change your life.
I have lived a lot of places, from New Jersey to Oklahoma to home. I've been married for 30 years to a real character. I just got my real estate license. I've run out of grandchildren to raise, they are all in school so I have to go back to work in the "adult" world. Ha! We'll see how that goes! It's the first time since I was 19 that I don't have kids to take care of, it's kinda scary. I am kinda retiring from one profession and begining another. I've worked many jobs...Expand for more
over the years, most of which I enjoyed, but they were always for someone else's needs this time its for me and that's kinda cool. When I look back at High School, I have lots of smiles, I hated being a teenager, but I was lucky enough to be around and to know lots of really cool people from lots of groups. I had a good time all in all, ha!, there are some "blank spots", oh, say after my freshman year....Oh Yeah...Rock On. So, now I'm just a crazy granny who listens to her music really loud and dances while doing housework and still plays a mean "air guitar". I still love concerts unless its too hot, I live by the Woodlands so there are lots to pick from. I still love to camp and go to the beach.
