Melanie's Story

My husband Dennis and I were married in 1976 and lived in Chicago. We moved to Cleveland in 1982 so I could go to grad school at Case Western Reserve University. My husband was an environmental engineer and was considered an international expert on wastewater management. He passed away in 2014 after a 7 year battle with prostate cancer. daughter Patricia, born in 1987. Our daughter went to The Ohio State University, where she met her husband. They were married in September 2014 and live in Columbus. I was a librarian at NASA Glenn Research Center for 22 years, retiring from there in 2005. In 2007 I started working at Athens Foods and am still there. I share my house with 4 cats.
