Melanie's Story
Life
Left southern CA in 1991 to start grad school in Illinois. Decided I didn't want to do research or teach, so left the PhD program in cognitive psych after receiving my MA and went to library school. Met & married my husband in Champaign, IL while in grad school. Moved to Chicago and worked in Elgin. Moved back to northern CA for 3 years and worked in Davis & Napa. dwest--southern IL again, across the river from St. Louis. Had the opportunity to move to northern Italy, and we took it! Lived in Friuli for almost 4 years (99-03). Had child #2, a boy, there. Hard to move back to the US, but we did, and were in Indianapolis for 3 years. Now, we're back in northern CA, hopefully for good. I'm really tired of moving :-) thelaclairs at yah0o
