Melanie's Story
I lived in Seymour (hell on earth) until my kids graduated.(They loved their school!)I went to college and became a preschool teacher, which I loved doing! Two years ago my fiancee Steve and I moved to a town 15 miles outside of KCK. It's windy, but I love it here! hat teaches behavior disorder kids. Because many are violent, and most are too disruptive, they can't be in a regular classroom setting. So, they come here and we do everything we can to help them become stable adults. They range in ages from 5th grade through 12th. I adore these kids and this job!
My parents still live in Fordland, my sister, her husband and my precious 15 yr old nephew Nick are in Rogersville, and all are doing wonderfully.
Will I come back to Missouri? Probably, but not to Fordland or Seymour. A lot of us left town, as these places don't forgive and never forget, and it doesn't take much to find yourself in the line of fire. I do miss the kids I went to school with, and often wonder about them. I hope all are happy and healthy and doing well.
