Melanie's Story
Life
Well, I'm divorced...again! Never did I think I would be in this situation again. I've filed twice - my picker is broke and I ain't pickin' no more!! I have three kids - boy 13, girl 11, boy 9, all from my second marriage (I don't have multiple baby-daddies, haha). I am stuck in Granbury, TX and miss home a lot. My X's family business is here, so I have made the commitment to stay down here while our kids are in school and we share responsibility for them. When they all graduate, I am long gone from this town...where? I don't know. I'd like to take off on missions helping children. Teaching will have to do for now. For fun I go out a lot - joint conservatorship has it's benefits. I have three nights a week kid free, so I usually go out and listen to bands, go dancing, eat and/or drink with other singles around my ...Expand for more
age. I feel like I have been a caged animal for last 14 years, so I go out quite a lot these days. I have always been a late night kind of girl, never liked mornings. Hitting the marching field with an instrument or a flag during football season before the sun came up was never my favorite part of the day! I'm still just as wild and crazy as I was in school. I still get along and hang out with a wide variety of people. Maybe it's the "middle child". My brother (class of 85) and sister (class of 1992) both married this past year or so. My brother and sister still live in Garland, but will probably move soon - it's changed so much. My parents finally moved from Rowlett, once DART light rail planned to come along their house on Lake Ray Hubbard several times daily. So, once I escape from Granbury, who knows where I'll end up?
