Melanie's Story
After graduating from The University of Texas in Austin I got married and moved to Germany where I worked for Pan American Airlines as an accountant. I loved traveling around Europe and other countries. In 1991 I had my first son William and shortly after returned to the states where I lived in Colorado for about a year. I moved back to Houston with my son William after getting a divorce and started working as a Middle Shcool Teacher (scarey isn't it) in Spring Branch where I have been now for 16 years. I really enjoy teaching because there is never a dull moment, especially at that age(I'm talking about the student's age, not mine, ha ha). When I returned to Houston I started seeing Chris Hogue who also graduated from Scarborough (class of 1978). We finally got married on Jan. 1, 2000. In 2003 we had our first son Christopher. Our life was centered around our kids like most parents. William was a swimmer, played soccer, and was in FFA where he raised rabbits.

dear William. He was a freshman in CyFair and was only 14. He was the center of my world ......everything to me. I didn't know how I was going to survive without him. If I had not had my little Christopher who was then two I don't think I would have had the will to go on. But, some how God gave me the strength to keep going. Every day has been a struggle. Then in March of 2008 (this year) we were blessed with our little miracle Jonathan. He is now 4 months old and such a joy.
I am still best friends with Lisa White. We talk just about every day. We still talk about the "good old days" at Scarborough all of the time. I also talk with Kim Staggs and Amy Tickner/Raymond Hunt quite a bit too. We try to get together as often as we can.
Chris and I love to travel and have been to many places around the world such as Egypt, Australia, Hong Kong and most of the European countries. Now that we have the two little ones our traveling will have to be put on hold for a while.
I would love to hear from any of my old friends. ....
