Melanie's Story
Life
My husband, Sean, and I have been together for 10 years and just celebrated our 2 year wedding anniversary. We had an outdoor wedding in between 2 of Florida's worst hurricanes and luckily it didn't rain a drop!
Around 6 years ago we moved to Florida so Sean could play a lot more golf. There, we own an import business, Clementine Design Inc., and have worked together for the past 6 years. I do the majority of the design and traveling for the business and Sean manages the office. After a long time trying, we had our first daughter, Emerson Kate, on February 13th of 2006. College
After I graduated from college with a degree in Special Education for Visually Impaired Students and Elementary Education, I went on to Vanderbilt University where I received my Masters in Education specifically Orientation and Mobility which simply put is cane travel for people with visual impairments. While I was teaching, I had an opportunity to do some freelance product design which then led to my opening my own company.
