Melina's Story
Life
Who said becoming an adult was any fun? Why were we so eager to become adults when in high school. Life isn't bad, don't get me wrong! It just can be consuming and overwhelming at times...but I love the independence and ability to take care of myself. I'm currently dating someone I never pictured myself with. But by chance, we went out strickly as friends and I realized how wonderfully attracted I was to him. He has my heart, and I wouldn't have it any other way. (However, being thrown into the mommy position with his 8 year old daughter has been challengining at times...but that is a part of his life I'm willing to accept.) xperience. I'm to that age where I realize my weaknesses and I'm working on making them better.
Work
I graduated with a BA in Business Education from University of South Florida, and got my Masters in Curriculum, Instruction, and Assessment in 2007. I currently work in North Port, which is just south of Sarasota. It is a slow paced, quiet (and yes boring) city. I teach web design, podcasting, graphic design, and videography classes to 9-12 graders. I wouldn't teach any other grade levels. Teenagers is where my heart is. I can relate to them, and feel this is where I can make an impact in the direction of their lives. Although I had a rough year teaching, I don't see myself doing anything else!
