Melinda's Story

I live in a small NC town named Oriental. It's on the Pamlico Sound, which is on the inside of the Outer Banks and which gets hurricanes, too. (We've had 5 feet of water covering the yard and "basement".) My husband, Keith and I (we met 20+ years ago at work at a radio station in Raleigh) moved here in 2002, after a stint in Atlanta (we got out after five for good behavior) Before that...Expand for more
, we lived on a small boat for a while and sailed from Havana to Nova Scotia. (We anchored for a night at Oyster River near Baybrook which apparently was so unusual that the Coast Guard boarded us.) I work in public radio. And Keith and I publish a website about our town called towndock . net I'm heading north in a week to attend the reunion (And get a Wooster St fix.) Cheers!
