ed working in the grocery stores. I started with Albertsons, then Smiths. When they left the state, I went to Luckys, which turned into an Albertsons. I'd had enough of that..........so back to the restaurants. A friend opened a chain of restaurants in the Palms Springs area, so I ran the one in downtown Palm Springs for a couple of years. Rubys Diner came in across the street and loured me to that company for 2 years. Family issues had me take some time off. When I decided to go back to work, I got on at the DMV. Monday to Friday 8-5. What a change from 6 days a week and every holiday. Likin' it. Then there is the weekends...I board-op and get some air time at the counrty radio station in Palm Springs.
