Melissa's Story
Life
After I graduated from Knollwood in 92' I went on to Baptist Bible College in Springfield, MO. I met Ronnie there and after many ups and downs we got married in October of 95', 5 months after I had graduated with an associates degree from BBC. We moved to Arkansas to be the youth pastors of a church in Pine Bluff we also worked in the Christian School. Ronnie was the principal and I was a "monitor" the first couple of years and the Kindergarten teacher the year and a half after that (I had to stop working due to complications with my pregnancy). While we were there we were expecting our first child in Jan. of 99'. To make a long story short she was stillborn the week before her due date. After we left Pine Bluff in 99' we came back to Topeka to be the youth pastors at Knollwood (can you believe it?! ha) In January of 00' (almost a year to the day that we lost Mackenzie) Bradon was born. During that time I worked at Sheltered Living as a Night House Manager. In June of 02' Kylie came along and then I started working at Kohls as a Night Stocker. We stopped working at Knollwood in 02'. In 03' Ronnie was offered a job at a church in Bonner Springs as their Music Leader. In November of 03' Kaycie was born. We have now moved to Bonner Springs and Ronnie works at a bank and at the church. I am enjoying staying home and taking care of the kids. I have to say being a mom is the BEST job in the world! God has really blessed our family and I'm excited to see what He has in store for us!
