Melissa's Story
Life
Many of my friends know that I married the summer of my junior year. I also had a baby my senior year. That was 17 years ago and we are still happily married now. Brad Burdette and I have 2 kids, daughter Amber, age 16 and a son Hunter, age 6. It has been hard and tough at times but we survived and are still going strong at 17 years of marriage. We have an american short hair cat (black) named Miss Kitty, and a Siberian Husky (black and white) named Smokey, and a rescued Chihuahua (short hair black, brown, and white) named Little Bit. Most of my animals can be seen at dogster.com except Smokey. Brad races every week sometimes twice on the weekend. He also plays softball on a league team for work. ds. Amber has been in the Pendleton High School marching band for the last 4 years in colorguard. But due to a recent knee injury she has had to quit that part of the sport. Hunter has played basketball and baseball for the YMCA. We take our family vacations in the summer and then Brad and I take one for ourselves in the winter. We try to stay busy with the family and have no time for ourselves. I take my chihuahua to dog obedience class and we are starting our 4th class and doing great. I have also joined the PTO board at Townville Elementary where Hunter goes to school. We live in the country (Townville). We are in a very nice neighborhood with lake access and view. To all my friends who know where to find us we will see you at the races or softball fields. Or we could be seen watching the Pendleton bulldogs play football on Friday night and watching the band.
