Melissa's Story
Life
After graduating in 1997, I went to Houston Community College for 2 years, but found that college life was just not for me! I am now working as the Director of Operations for a financial planning/estate management firm in the Galleria area.
I am "mom:" to three dogs and I am enjoying being the aunt to 3 wonderful nephews and God-Mother to my beautiful Angel, Reagan!!
Most of you who hung out with me in high school had the honor of meeting my dad. Unfortunately he passed away too soon on March 5, 2007, of a heart attack. Losing a Dad at a young age when there is still a lot of "growing up" and life experiences for me to experience has been harder than I could have imagined, but I know that he is always watching over me.
I still keep in touch with several of my friends from Elsik & Hastings and am always looking to find ones I haven't talked to in a while. So, if you knew me, feel free to drop me a line or sign my guestbook!
I wish you all much health and ha...Expand for more

School
Man, high school now seems like the simpler times!! I remember wishing so hard back then to grow up faster and be on my own, but now that I am the adult, I miss those carefree times! I will never forget hanging out in the north cafeteria in the morning with my friends before the first bell rang. Football & soccer games were the best and every now and then when I pass a high school stadium and see a game being played, I sometimes want to experience it all over again...cheering with the cheerleaders and dancing along with the marching band. Being on the yearbook staff was an experience that I wish I had pursued further, but unfortunately, my heart got the better of my head and I joined the Athlete Training staff. Don't get me wrong though, being a trainer was an experience that I will also never forget. I learned many skills being a trainer that I have had to use later in life and I had several wonderful friends beside me that I will never forget.
