Melissa's Story

Life Howdy Ya'll!!! After leaving Colorado...i moved to Texas near my family. Soon met my ex-husband Mark LeVassuer, married in 1993, separated at the end of 1995, divorced in 1996, gave birth to a little girl Emily Ber'yl on Nov.25th, 1996, met my ex-husband Bradley and married on Oct.31st, 1997, we had Brandon Ray Morrison on Oct. 7th, 1999. During the process of trying to have Brandon I had stage one cancer which was thought to be all removed, later did we know that I went through my pregnancy with Brandon with cancer and it was not found out until 4 months after I had him. Which brought about other issues. But I now am cancer free and have been since Feb. 2000. My husband left us Nov. 2002 after our 5th wedding anniversary. We were divorced almost a year later. I worked in a Pharmacy for 4 years when I was told my health wouldn't get any better, I left the pharmacy and recouped and I worked for Wal-mart up until May 2005, when I married Rob. I'm a certified photo lab tech and I loved it so much that I worked with a photography studio in my spare time to get my certification. But now I'm a stay home mommy, I met my soul mate and married him June 25th, 2005--We have 4 children. 3 girls and 1 boy. Roby's girls are mentally and partly physically challenged and such sweet hearts, the kids get along like the have always been there. Emily is now 11, Aliena is 9 1/2, Brandon is now 8 and Jennifer is 6 1/2. All beautiful as can be. I still do my photography with my family and do photo op's from time to time. I have my own on-line travel agency website, and have returned back to school, studying for the pharmacy, alot had schanged in 8 years. But Lord with everything, I'm one busy momma!!! My husband Roby was a drill sgt. when we got married and now he works in the Warrior Transitional Unit as a specialist. It's a new program in the Army designed to help soliders that are injured to go through rehab and he has to evaluate them and decide whether or not they can return to active duty or be medically discharged. Even though we are stationed at FT. Sill, we live in Texas an hour from Lawton, Oklahoma, but for most of my friends that I went to school with, they know what a military life is all about. He has 4 years left he's been in 18 years. We bought my grandfather's house and we start remodeling it in Feb. It has only one bathroom we need more then that to accomadate 2 adults and 4 children. We are all happy and healthy. Since the last post on my bio. I changed some of the wording above. My husband <we are praying> hopefully will not be deploying May'08. He's been up for deployment 3 times in the last 2 years. He's suppose to be going to Africa. My family and I moved to our house in Texas a year ago and it's nice being here. I still do studying in my spare time. But I however have my license as a travel agent and work at home. I work out of my home to accomandate 2 of our 4 children with their special needs. I've become an advocate of their well being with the Burkburnett ISD to help get special care and ed...Expand for more
ucation for children with their such needs. I also do light work around my photography so that it doesn't take me away from home and interupt their daily needs. As a few of my photos in my photo album will reflect the quality of my work. I also have had the chance to have a photograph be published in a book called Endless dreams. School Well let's see....I went to school over, my father being in the navy. I went to school in Guam, Maryland, Newfoundland, Texas, Tennessee, Mississippi, and Colorado. I'm doing online college courses, in my spare time. I also trained on sight as a pharmacy tech. And also trained with a photography studio. College Well i'm attending Stratford Career College an online college. I wanted something I could do at home that woulldn't take me away from my children. I am a trained Pharmacy tech but now need to be re-certified since being 8 years out of the Pharmacy. And I am certified as a Photographer, I went threw a local business in Wichita Falls, Texas. With the help of one Mr. Tom Merrit, a dear friend I had while I was working for Walmart. He writes a column for the local paper as part of the Kuwanis Club and is a sub. teacher for the district of Wichita Falls, Texas as well. Update---Aug '07, well I'm still doing online courses, but I now have my travel agent's license. I work for Global Travel International as an independant travel agent. I have my own website and get to still spend time at home taking care of my kids. Workplace Well one of my first jobs was working for Morrison's Caferteria in North Park Mall in Jackson, MS. I loved it made very good tips, but after 1 1/2 they let me go, because they found out I was moving to Denver, Colorado where my father was sent to take over NRD (Navy Recruiting Dist.) My father was in Charge of all recruiting stations for the Navy. So I worked for Little Ceasar's Pizza for 4 months before I left MS. And transferred to another one in Aurora, Colorado. Right down at the end of Colfax( a hooker strip basically when I lived there). Left there because only 10 hours a week. My senior year I had two jobs, 7-Eleven right across the street from GW HS and also worked for Subway next door. I moved back to Texas when I was 20, and transferred to a Subway there, and I made mgmt. Then left there because pay scale was lousy, and went to work for a grocery chain called Winn Dixie, started out as cashier and went into the Pharmacy. After that I was transferred to a private pharmacy in another town due to 2nd husband's job. Health got real bad and took time of to get better. Went to work for Walmart after I got better and stayed with them until May '05. I loved my job their, started as a dept mgr. for the over the counter part of the pharmacy then took over other dept.s, I was transferred to another Walmart closer to family after my seperation from ex to a training district store. I loved it. Big huge store. But now my job is taking care of my family. My husband is a drill sgt. and I raise the 4 children. 2 of which are some what challenged.
