Melissa's Story

Life Hey Granite Hills class of 2000! Here is my latest update. I graduated from SDSU in 2004 with my Bachelor's of Science in Marine Biology. I worked for two years (2001-2003) in the Education Department at SeaWorld San Diego, narrating, giving tours (even one for Meg Ryan!), working with penguins, and taking data of killer whale calves. Then I worked from 2003-May2005 as an Aquarist, where I got to SCUBA dive with 50+ batrays and 200 moray eels every morning. ructor, aquarist, and boat tech for the next 2 years. I liked it there, but wanted to work more with a variety of animals. So, now I work at the Wild Animal Park as a tour guide on the Journey Into Africa tram. FUN! Hopefully getting my foot in the door to work with animals. Once a week I volunteer at the Pacific Marine Mammal Center where I rescue, rehabilitate, and release seals and sea lions. I have quite a busy yet exciting life! The best part about it is my wonderful boyfriend of 5 years, Ron. :-* He is my everything. Well, I hope everyone else is doing well. Take care Eagles! ;)
