Melissa's Story
Life
After high school, I went to RIT in New York and graduated with an Industrial Engineering degree. For eight years, I lived in the Boston area working as the Director of Operations Management in a Boston hospital. I went back to school at night and received my MBA from Babson College. In June 2001, my husband & I decided to make a major life change so we left our engineering jobs and moved to Brussels, Belgium.
We've been living in Brussels for about 5 years now & love it. What's Belgium known for? Ch...Expand for more
ocolate, Beer, French Fries (actually invented in Belgium), Mussels/Seafood, Tapestry, Lace, 3 Official Languages (French, Flemish, German) and on the less-than positive side... Paperwork and Beaurocracy.
I am currently the Director of Operations at a european company and get the chance to travel (too much). My current work travels take me to Greece (my favorite), Hungary, UK and Germany. When I travel for fun, I head for Italy or Morocco.
