Life
About me
Well, since High School, I graduated in 1992 from Augsburg College in MN, with a BA in International Studies, Political Science. During my undergraduate degree I studied abroad 3 times and then ended up working for the worlds fair in Sevilla, Spain. After returning from working abroad, I joined the Peace Corps and served 2 1/2 years in Guatemala working in extension and construction. in DC, I landed a job at University of Wisconsin-Madison advising on immigration law. That job led me to the Wisconsin Union Travel Center where I am the Director and am able to share my knowledge of working, volunteering, studying, and traveling abroad. One of my goals in life is to empower others to explore the world around them. In 1999 I married John Kaltenbach, who I met in Guatemala, and in 2004 we had a baby, Vivianne Helene Kaltenbach. We continue to travel and are enjoying our new family and life in Madison.
