Melissa's Story
Would love to connect with any of ya'll on Facebook...! I would love to hear from my former classmates! I was at the 20th class reunion for a brief time but haven't been to any others.
My husband and I have been married for 33 years, have 2 grown children, Kyle and Samantha, and 1 grandson, Mikko. Both my kids are married to wonderful people, (I have the best son in law and daughter in law!) and live nearby.
As I write this Mikko is my grandson of Kyle and Laura and is currently 22 months old. He is the newest man in my life and I have adored him everyday. He is part Finnish as his mom is from Finland and is the cutest!
Sammie, my daughter is also married to Joe who is a pilot with Sky West Airlines. Both Sammie and Laura work at the non profit and you often find them working at the thrift store, too. Everyone thinks they are sisters, even though they are in laws.

ndermere and I own a Cruise Planners franchise, and founded a non profit, Foster Youth Independence, 5 years ago. We opened a thrift store 5 years ago to help fund our cause in the Juanita Kenmore area; Northwest Thrift Store, where you will find me volunteering at least 1 day a week in the store and much more in the background! We raise money for scholarships for foster kids for their college, an absolutely wonderful cause that has given these young kids a great start in their education. Its a wonderful little boutique thrift store, so if you are ever near St. Edwards Park (as we are up the hill!), please stop in and say hi! The address is 14130 Juanita Dr. NE Kirkland.
Cruise Planners is a huge passion of mine. Travel is my most favorite in life after my family. EHS alumni should go on a cruise for a reunion! We would all have a blast! I also do land tours as well as river cruising, not just ocean cruises. But if you are looking for a deal, especially for a group, you should contact me!
