Melissa's Story
Hey Y'all,
Well...I am a "Honorary Yankee" now as I have lived in Ann Arbor, Michigan (home of the University of Michigan Wolverines) for over 20 years now. But, I am still a "LABAMAGirl" (on ya...hoo) at heart. The saying is true..."You can take the girl out of the South, but you can't take the South out of the girl." I now say I am a "Southern girl with a Northern attitude." LOL :-D
I came here "temporarily" in 1986 and it turned into a permanent move. It has been bad and good, but we stayed for the good.

I have learned over the years that I have an allergy to marriage. hmmm LOL I am happily single at this time.
I have a son that will be 20 this year. He is the reason that I have stayed in MI. He was born with severe congenital hydrocephalus and developed a seizure disorder which has left him severely mentally impaired. (Michigan has unbelievable programs for disabled children & adults.) I also have a daughter that turned 8 this year. She is absolutely amazing. I have been blessed with 2 angels from heaven.
I am interested in reconnecting with old friends & I will post photos soon.
