Melissa's Story
Life
My family is everything to me. I lost my mother November of 1999(cancer), my godmother July of 2000, and then my father January of 2001(cancer). My family and I have been through so many rough times and they have been my rock. I don't know what I would have done without them. I have two beautiful girls, Kathy 5 and Ruth 2, and a new 2.5 month old son, Alec. Being an only child, man my parents had it easy...he he ha ha!! There are days I just want to tear my hair out cause the girls annoy each other. Then there are days that they are angels and get along great. I am glad to have had healthy and normal pregnancies through all the grief and family battles that we had to ensue. That is primarily why we moved out of New Jersey to get away from family that fought us.
There was a time that I felt so alone and vulnerable, but my wonderful husband was always there to pick me up by my bootstraps and supported me 100 percent. He also took the brunt of the family badgering, because I was pregnant with Ruthie at the time and didn't need the stress. I thank my lucky stars the day I met him while in College in Sept. 1993. We will be married 9 years this September and it certainly does not feel that long.
I am a stay at home Mom until the kids are all in school full time. My hubby is a store manager and is an awesome father. We just enjoy being together when he comes home from work. The girls always greet him and are oh so excited to see him every day he rolls the car in the garage.
Now, all we worry about is what trouble the kids are getting into and normal everyday things. It is nice that life is back to normal after all the heartache. If we could make it through all that, we can make through the rest of our lives, no matter what.
2005:
Well, Ruth will be 3 next month alrea...Expand for more
dy and Alec is 14 months old on Tuesday, and Kathy will be 6 this Sepetmeber already. Time flies. My hubby and I will be married 10 years this year and Kathy will start Kindergarten already, while sister Ruth starts preschool. Wow. I cannot believe it. I hope all is well with those who read my bio. You can always feel free to write to me if you want and I will write back as soon as I get a free moment. With three kids not easy and especially trying to constantly keep Alec out of the dog water and food. He loves her and tries to feed her by throwing food at her in her bed. Well, my hubby's youngest sister graduates this June from high school. I have known her half her life already. Pretty scary, cause now I know and saw how fast they/we all grew up. Well, that is all that is new for now, except my hubby got my 1938 Chevy Master Deluxe hot rod up and running last night and she will be ready for the hot rod show in two months. Can't wait to drive it tomorrow it is fun to drive and loud with the glass packs on it. Gotta scoot and get stuff done while little Mr. into everything is napping. Have a great spring and summer.
2007:
Well, my kids are now 7, 4, and 3. Gosh where does time go. Each year goes faster and faster, especially when they are in school. Kathy will be in 2nd grade next year, Ruth is registered for Kindergarten for next year and Alec will start preschool. HOLY COW. I can't believe that I will be approaching 38 this year too. Man this getting older stuff is starting to suck. More aches and pains and harder to lose the pound you may have gained. Oh well, all apart of life I guess. Just have to grin and bear it. I can't wait until spring at this rate and get my veggie garden going again and the pumpkin patch I grow. Well, I have to go and start my day. Bye all.
