Melissa's Story
Life
This is a tough one to write, how do you fit a life time into a few lines. There are many of you that I think of often and with fondness. After Central I went on to pursue a career in Art. I graduated from Parsons School of Design in NYC then continued a career in Cosmetic Package Design. I worked in a commercial art Dept. for a number of years. My design work there was very satisfying.
Some of you may be wondering exactly which of the Maiorano Boys I married?..Well If you knew me at all you could definitely figure it out...still not sure? guess you'll have to e-mail me! Although He and I did go to Central together we officially met in 1982 at the "Ye Old Frigate" in SeaSide Hts and married in 1987. We continued to live and work in NYC. t wasn't long before we had our second daughter. As our family has been flourishing I've been returning to my art work, Painting Studio, teaching drawing classes, and recently started Graduate School to study Art Therapy.
My husband's 20th yr. Central- Class reunion was such a hit that we decided to get a little summer place in our old neighborhood by the beach...So now we're back, better than ever as they say and we're constantly showing our girls the wonders of the area and blathering on about the "good ole days" while we aspire to make a whole bunch more of our own good memories. Why, just the other week we lost a bundle on the Board Walk trying to win a stuffed weasel,.. you know how it goes..
