Melissa's Story

Melissa left school in 1970. She got a G ED in 1976. She then attended Indian Hills Community College in Ottumwa IA and received an AA degree in Arts and Sciences. She attended Northeast Missouri State University in Kirksville, MO(now Truman University), and graduated from Iowa State University in 1988. Melissa Married William R. Gerber of Ames, IA, in 1993. She was widowed in 2011. Melissa now lives in Clive, Iowa, with two cats. Melissa thanks the very few friends she had in Centerville. They know who they are. ing in speak volumes. Recently, I've seriously wondered if some of my classmates, who had families, have had children or grandchildren with Attention Deficit Disorder. That kind of disorder is hereditary. I have one form, and I can't help but wonder if the worst behaved of my classmates had something similar. It would explain a lot. I wonder how many of them had children with non- standard heights or body sizes. I wonder if any had children with interests in off-beat things like reading, music or poetry. It would be interesting to know how people handled issues of bullying, and if they gave any thought at all to their previous behavior, or if the just dismiss everything as 'kids being kids'.
