Melita's Story
After graduation in 1972 I moved to Pueblo to attend school to obtain my Cosmetologist License. I lived and worked there for two years. In 1974 I moved to Lamar where I lived till 1993. I married Gary Cramblet in 1978. Next month we will celebrate our 30 anniversary. Our only child, Matthew, was born in Lamar in 1983. In 1993 our family moved to Brownwood, Texas. In 1995 we purchased a magazine called Purple Circle. It covers the junior livestock show industry - kids showing animals through 4-H and FFA. In 1996 we moved to New Home, Texas just South of Lubbock. Matthew graduated from High School there in 2002. While involved in school he exhibited livestock winning the Houston Livestock Show with his lamb in 2000. He also played football and basketball. Matthew was given a full ride scholarship to attend college at South Plains College in Levelland, Texas and rodeo with their rodeo team. ing, team roping and steer wrestling. Gary and I have enjoyed following and sharing in our son Matthew's endeavors while he grew up. In 2005 we moved to Canyon, Texas where we currently live and continue to publish the Purple Circle. Our son Matthew married Ashley Griggs of House, NM and they now have a darling baby son, Kyler Wayne. They live in Canyon while we live 5 miles away in the country west of Canyon. Matthew attended Oklahoma-Panhandle State University in 2006-2007 and rodeoed for them. He qualified last year for the National Collegiate Rodeo Finals in Casper, Wyoming in team roping. My entire life is pretty much wrapped up in my family and work. I try to travel the country when I can either with Gary, Matthew or friends. I have cruised twice to Alaska and this past Fall made a 12 day trip back East sightseeing in 16 states. That is one trip I want to take again - only spend more time. We try to travel"home" to Lamar and Granada as often as we can to visit family and friends. We'd love to hear from any of you if you get the chance.
