Melody's Story
First got married the first time in '73 and graduated from Cal-Poly Pomona in '76 with a Masters in both Marketing, Advertising, Sales & Business Administration. I modeled professionally for a number of years and was able to put myself through school and buy a ranch plus my art work that I always wanted to own. Divorced after 13 years, the guy went gay on me. Then had a gorgeous son from my 2nd marriage that I am very proud of, but marriage did not last, this husband did too many drugs and got hostile. Now I have finally found my soul-mate, the love of my life, with 4 children and we have been married 10 years and this one is a keeper! Lived in Nebraska for 10 years with my 2nd husband and I am now living in Texas with my 3rd husband. We have 3 dogs and just purchased a home with acreages this past year. Have raised arabian horses and looking for more. Want to do some traveling in our later years, not ready to retire yet. Still got a lot I want to do with my life. My husband and I love to ride motorcycles, court sports, music and go dancing among other things. We are pretty active people and stay mostly busy but do like to relax at South Padre Island whenever we can, our favorite place since moving to South Texas. If economy ever gets back to normal again in California, we both want to come back to our home state, but, a lot of things will have to change there for that to happen. I work from my home, which I love. I am using my Masters as an assistant to the world's number 1 internet marketer out of Florida building websites for major companies, manufacturers and industrial service engineers. Sounds boring, but actually, it's really fun and I am hoping to make millions at it. LOL I have been self-employed forever and would never change a thing about it. Have worked in every media from newspaper, TV and radio. Liked radio the best, got to go to a lot of free concerts that way. My current husband is a professional commercial, residential, interior & exterior painter and a perfectionist at what he does. He has been called an artiest and has taken a very small shack and turned it into a castle when he is finished. He is extremely talented! Been an educator, pastor, plays guitar and can draw anything, which I never quite learned to do except scenery. He can look at something and just draw it and it looks like it could leap off of the page. I admire people that have that kind of talent. He is one of the best writers I know and I am encouraging him to write a novel someday and I know it would be a best seller. Guess you can tell I think the world of him and he became my hero after I lost my dad. My parents both died, one year apart, exactly on the same day, their wedding anniversary and they were married 62 years and I am happy that they had such a beautiful life together and I hope and pray I can say the same about my current marriage. I must have did something right, my parents both dearly loved my current husband and said I finally got the right one. I miss them both very much and find that I have a piece of my heart missing since their passing. I would say for the most part, despite 2 unsuccessful marriages, I am very happy with my son and my current husband, Roger and my new 4 children, 3 boys and one girl, and despite the economy, we are doing pretty well and are living successful lives. However, there is always room for improvements and lots more adventure and hopefully a little more money to do the traveling that we want to do.
