Melody's Story
Life
9 months after graduation I got married to my next door neighbor in Yakima. He joined the Army and we went to Salinas California where I had a daughter in 1977. Next we went to Tacoma Washington for a year. Then we spent a year in New Elum Germany from 1978-1979. We returned to Yakima so my husband could go to school. After he was done we moved to Wenatchee where I had a son in 1983. We moved to East Wenatchee where my husband had a breakdown. So that forced us to move back to Yakima. My first 5 years was the director of the Sunday School program. In 1993 I moved up to the personal staff of the Bishop in the accounting department where I still am today. I do Employee Benefits for 500+ employees and priests. I also do all the other insurance for the Diocese such as auto, property, etc.
In 1994 I got a divorce from my husband. In 1995 I met my second husband. In 2000 I married my second husband and we live in Zillah. He has two children, so together we have four.
The second time around is better, at least for me!
