Life
Well, have thought up a new slogan for 2005........"Still alive at 55".....hard to believe the age is upon me when I'll qualify for all the senior offers in resturants, insurance and possible seating on the Hertz rental buses! Loving life and looking back at the lessons offered and the ones that I actually paid attention to and learned a lesson to apply in life.
Have moved away from the Northside, but guess my heart is still there. Live out in Springtown and looking forward in 2005 to the WalMart being built in Azle. At least I'll only have to drive 7 miles to Wally World rather than 20 in any direction I head from Springtown.
Tried marriage, but guess I'm just too aggressive and overbearing for the types that I tend to gravitate toward! Been single almost 17 years and have spent the last 10 years raising my grands...Expand for more
on. Never thought back in 1972 that a boy would get custody of his child, but guess times have changed.
Have gotten to the point in life that both parents are gone and now all my life has are their memories and a brother and two sisters. Family took on new meaning with the passing of my parents who were married for 63 years! In trying to remember family of the past, I've gotten hooked on geneology and spend hours tracing family lines and have even gotten into DNA tracing through genetics and my brother's DNA.
I collect antique china and circa 1930/40 silver flatware. I also vacation 2 weeks every summer in Maine antiquing and sailing the coast of Maine. The other 3 weeks vacation are spent taking my grandson to see a different state of the union and lil'trips with my two sisters.
Life is good......full and blessed!
