Melody's Story
Hi, well for a quick snapshot. I have been married twice. First one was a jerk but lasted 13 years. Long enough to finish college so to make a living. I now have been married to a wonderful husband for 14 years. I have two children (girl, boy) and two step-children that we raised, so they feel like my own (again, girl and boy). They are 29, 28, 23, and 22. I also have a beautiful grand-daughter who is 7. My younger two are both nurses and work at Blount Memorial. I teach at a high school and have a Master's degree in Behavioral Sciences.
I was one semester from my doctorate when I found out I had a brain tumor and had to have immediate invasive brain surgery. It was the size of a baseball. I came out ok. Had to re-learn some things and adjusted to other things. My supervisor has worked great with me to help me do my job. I am just very greatful to be able to work and function.
