Melody's Story
Life
I am married with 2 beautiful girls, 18 and 13, and am living in Charlottesville, Va., home of the University of Virginia Cavaliers! I worked for several years in the stock brokerage business, but after I finished nursing school in 2004 I worked in the newborn ICU at UVa Hospital for a year and a half. I am now working at Martha Jefferson Hospital on the OB unit with postpartum moms and in the Special Care Nursery. It's not quite the NICU, but it's a great job!
I'm still singing. I fronted a band...Expand for more
, "Soul Kitchen" for about 5 years here in Charlottesville. We played classic rock and blues stuff. Now I sing in the praise band at church, as well as the choir.
For those of you still in the area, I pray for safety from these terrible storms you've been getting. I thought I had gotten away from tornadoes when I moved, but they seem to have followed me here to Virginia. We had a couple touch down near here a few weeks ago.
Anyway, I wasn't able to make it to the reunion, but I hope it was wonderful.
