Melody's Story
OK, let me see...after graduating, I went to work for CNA in Chicago as an Accountant. I was married in 1968 to a man in the Army. I left CNA in 1969 when he returned from Viet Nam. We were sent to Ft. Polk, Louisiana, where our son Lonnie was born in 1970. We were sent to Bamburg Germany from 1972-1976. Our daughter Theresa was born in Nurnburg in 1974. We went to Ft. t to Aberdeen Proving Grounds when he got home from Korea. In 1982 we went back to Germany, this time Vilseck, and came back in 1986, to Aberdeen, where we bought a townhouse, and awaited retirement. My husband retired in 1988, then got a job with General Dynamics, which moved us to Michigan, in 1989. Our daughter was married in 98, and our one and only grand child was also born that year. Our son passed away from unknown causes in 2003. My Mom passed away 3 months after my son, and my dad passed away this past August. That's it....
