Marie's Story
Life
I am a high School teacher in Worcester county MD. I teach government, United State History and psychology. My husband and I bought a house built in 1850 and are restoring. We have been married 6 years. I grew up in Chesterton Indiana, and attended Westchester Junior High School and moved to Maryland in the middle of my 9th grade year graduating from North Dorchester High School. I went to the University of Maryland Baltimore County graduating with a degree in History. I went back to school and got my teaching certificate. I am invovled in my professional association NEA/MSTA and love my career.

School

the times we had in Mr. Carriers' class and our fun in gym. Has the school ever been the same? We are still the largest class ever to graduate from NDHS!
College
I attended the University of Maryland Baltimore County. Rita Fletcher was my first roomate. I graduated with a degree in history and ended up going back to school a year later to get a degree to teach.
Workplace
I went to work for the Baltimore Sunpapers after graduating from college and hated it. I went back to get my teaching degree and then no job! I finally got a job back in Dorchester County with many of the same teachers I had. I worked 8 years at CSD before moving to Worcester County. I am now a high school teacher at Pocomoke. I have taught for 21 years and believe it or not I love what I do.
