Merrill's Story

I would like to say hi to all those I went to school with. For those of you that I have not kept up with, here it goes. After graduation I attended OSU tech in Okmulgee Okla.then moved to work and live in Weatherford Okla. In 1985 I married Darlene Clinkingbeard from Blackwell Ok, When my job went south we moved to Blackwell. In March of '88 We had a baby girl, Amber Jean Rickel, she was, and still is, the spark in her daddy's eye. In July of '90 we had a house fire that destroyed our house. We had just settled in to our new home when in '91 I took a job at Kingfisher Ok. Then in Oct. of '92 our son Jay Merrill Rickel was born. In June of '93 we moved back to our house in Blackwell and after a couple of jobs I took the leap and started my own Heat & Air company "Comfort Specialist Heat & Air". All has been going well. ngs, Amber lost her gleam in her eyes for her daddy and instead she fixed her eyes on another man, Jeff Paige, she married him, then just in time for Christmas they gave us a Grand daughter naming her, Karlee Ann Paige. We are very, let me say that again VERY proud grandparents. Our son Jay is now 16 yr old and is acting like his dad in highschool except instead of driving a old Pinto though and around, and over everything at a high rate of speed, he is driving a '89 GMC jimmy with a lift kit giant tires, and too big of an engine. Still all is good. Darlene and I are starting to look forward to an empty nest, when things might settle down a little. HA! HA! I guess I did the man thing and gave a list of whats happened since graduation. If my wife wrote this it would have been 50 pages or more. I would look forward to anyone wanting to say just hi.
