Mia's Story
Life
After college, I moved to Dallas, Texas, where I met my husband, Bill. We moved to Memphis, TN in 1985 and got married that December. I began working for a financial services company in 1986 and have been with the same group ever since. My job has taken me to nearly every state in the US, but I work part-time now and rarely travel, unless I really want to. Bill and I have 2 kids, William - 18 and a freshman in college, and Anna - 15 and a sophomore at a boarding school in Sewanee, TN. Bill and I are currently empty-nesters for the first time and busy figuring out what to do with the rest of our lives.
2010 - William is now 21 and Anna is 18 and soon to graduate from boarding school. She has been accepted to Tulane, SMU, University of Chicago, NYU, DePauw and Sout...Expand for more
hwestern. Still waiting to hear where she will decide to go next fall.
I am working full time now and traveling more again
since M&A activity has geared up. We still have 3 fat little beagles, but have recently added two brown bunnies to the household. They mostly live in the back yard and drive the beagles crazy.
2018 - Both of my children have graduated from university now and are living in Memphis again. I feel so blessed to have both of them so close by. Anna is engaged and plans to wed in October 2018. William manages a local restaurant and is "married" to his work for now. I see them both nearly every week.
Bill is retired and I am back to working part time. Still do some traveling for work and some for fun. Both of us are in good health and feel very blessed.
