Michael's Story
High School was not exactly easy for those of us, in the 80's, who were 'different'. At the time, I thought I hated 99.9% of everyone whom I went to school with.
Now, half a lifetime on, I can see that the hard parts of being a 'freak' on high school prepared me for the rest of my life. And since passing the trial of youth/teenage years, I have done a lot I never thought possible.
As I musician/artist, I have traveled and performed in over 30 US States and well over a dozen countries, and I don't plan on stopping until these legs give out.
I honestly don't remember much of high school or the people I went to Weymouth South with. But, the very few who didn't make my life hell for being a punk or a goth were very important to me.

awling huge school they built to the left), showing my girlfriend the places I hid from the jocks and the old A/V room under the stairs to the auditorium. And I was surprised that it did, in fact and contrary to my expectations, bring back a few nice memories. Mostly of Jess, Rick, Tracy, Dave, Caroline, Mike, Dave, Gretchen and a few others... and a few enlightened teachers who understood.
If you want to hear any of my music or find links to other places online I've stashed art, a good place to begin is here: drekka.bandcamp.com or bluesanct.com/bands/drekka

OH, and if you have a copy of the 1988 YEARBOOK you wouldn't mind lending me to scan, I never got mine (I refused to pay my dues at the time 'cuz I was too poor and too punk)
Peace.
