Michael's Story
Although I didn't graduate with the class of 1980 I spent so many years (elementary through freshman) with some of you that I feel like it is my class. Anyway, we moved the end of my freshman year to Spring Branch. Life took a lot of twists, turns and curves for me. I ended up in the Navy at 21 for a couple of years to get my head on straight after working in clubs around Houston as a DJ. I think I ran away from home so to speak. That was 25 years ago. I spent 20 of those years traveling the world in the Navy and loving every minute of it. I was in the intelligence business most of that time. on a Navy project in San Antonio as the Program Manager and site lead for a tech firm out of San Diego. I'm married to a wonderful woman, in the Army of all things, and we have a beautiful two year old (yikes! at 47 I'm a new parent again) I also have a beautiful 21 year old daughter that just moved to Colorado. Sometimes, I feel like I've been everwhere. Lived in Japan, Hawaii and England for nine of my 20 years. And, spent some time in some not so nice places during my Navy days. I even ended up spending the entire first Gulf War with the Army in the sand's of Saudi! Still not sure how that happened. Some memories are better than others but I wouldn't trade any of them.
