Transfered to UC Santa Cruz, beautiful school surrounded by redwoods, and the occasional deer that would follow me to class. The banana slugs were a great bonus to show people who came to visit(they can grow up to eleven inches long)They also had an academic program that wasn't letter grade based, the year I went (98)was the first year they offered letter grades. I learned a great deal and earned a BS in Biochemistry and Molecular Biology. e were working on developing a rapid method for determining the gene locations in the DNA sequence of a plant used for genetic research (fun!)To illustrate weird spider had managed to get into the lab and set up a web, knowing that there would be little to no food I brought in food for the spider and checked on her/him everyday. The spider was my friend, and I would worry that the custodial staff would remove it. So this led to Teaching

Currently I'm working on a multiple subject credential, and by taking a few other classes to keep from having to pay mt student loans back I will also earn a single subject in science and math by the end of the 2004-05 school year.
