Living in Hawaii, safe home from Afghanistan
Military
I left for boot camp in August 1999. I went to IS "A" School at Dam Neck, Virginia Beach, VA and graduated there in March 2000. My first duty station was at NAS Fallon, NV for NSAWC. It was an interesting place. In 2002 I was transfered to Hawaii at VP-9 at Kaneohe Marine Corps Base HI, Kaneohe HI. I made 2 deployments and visited 7 countries in 3 years. I was able to go to Japan for 6 months ans saw the Sapporo Ice Festival and made it to Korea for a few hours just to shop. I also was deployed to Bahrain, and from ther...Expand for more
e I made it to kandahar, Afghanistan(2x); Djibouti, Africa; The Seychelles, and Diego Garcia. I'd go back to any of those places again if asked to. While stationed in Hawaii i made IS2. forst time up. I ended up meeting a local girl from Kailua, HI and got out of the Navy to stay here with her. We got married on May 17th, 2006. No kids yet. Now I'm looking to go into the Air Force Reserves. They were the only ones to guarantee me my same rank and no boot camp, so I can stay here and still get the military benefits. Just passed my physical so waiting to interview for the actual job.
