Michael's Story
Have had 9 Heart Attacks, 25 Angioplasties and 12 Stents in my heart. Had my right hip replaced. Medical retirement about 16 years ago.Stayed in the area all this time because I married a local girl , still married to her , will be 49 years this year ( 2021 ) . Have two daughters in their mid to late 40s now, we had them early in our marriage.
Went through the Apprentice School in Newport News Shipyard after one year of college , found college wasn't for me. Worked in the yard for almost 7 years and got the itch. Went to work for General Electric in Richmond. Came back down here ( work wise ) to work for the C&O Railroad. Was injured after 2 years there and went into computers , that was 1...Expand for more

Worked various places in computers ( mostly for about 7 years each place ) My last work place was Verizon , I was there for 2 years, had a heart attack while at work, they finally fired me for missing time., a week. I filed for Social Security Disability and received it a year later. I'll be 69 this year , guess I never thought I'd make it this long. Peace to all.
My current age is 69. When I was 12, I thought that people my age now would be dead. I was so completely wrong., thank God.
Jeans and T-Shirts are my mode of dress.
My first job was at a used car lot, where I got paid $2.50/Hr to help the body work guy. What I remember most about it is it taught me how not to treat people.
