Michael's Story
I am an over-the-road truck driver living in Sioux Falls, South Dakota. I travel the western, south-western, and mid-west states extensively. I love country music. My favorite singer is Martina McBride, both for her talented voice and her exceptional beauty. I spend a lot of time by myself because of the very nature of my job, so needless to say I do the whole range of computer communications.
I love people that smile, because I smile, a lot! I believe a smile is the sign of a happy, well-balanced person.
I believe you can tell who a person is the moment they open their mouth and speak.
I believe that Jesus died for my sins. I believe that while I am not worthy of Gods grace, it is by His grace that I will be saved. I believe that real people love Jesus.
I am not a statesman by any means. I have my faults. I cuss too much. I contradict myself. I have great ideas and a lot to say, and I like to speak out about what I believe in. I'm really kind of an awkward person, careening down the road of life, battered between pillar and post, bouncing from "God knows I'm sorry," to "Screw 'em if they can't take a joke." then unmixing them again, but differently. I love learning. I love sharing. I consume information from many sources. I keep what seems to be nourishing and life-sustaining and useful from conversations with people, get rid of what I can't use, and share whatever I come up with in other conversations with other people. I appreciate the hell out of anything written or told to me that works for me in my life. I am inordinately interested in the Truth, which I am able to discern as Truth by how it works in my life.
We are all the walking wounded. Most of us are still interested in clarity and the truth, but at the same time we are intersted in making a case for how our childhood was worse than average and how we're better than everyone else. The conventional way way to suffer through life is to build a case for ourselves.
For my own good, I want to hang-out with people who want to find out what it would be like to live in such a way as to leave no unspoken words; no unfinished business. I want to be with people who are hungry for the Truth, who want to spend time learning, and sharing what they learned, rather than dealing with their images and reputations.
