My wife Kathi and I live in Cranford New Jersey not far from NYC. I left Binghamton shortly after high school to attend college and graduate school in New York City and stayed in the area. That is where my career started as well. My career has been in both the public and private sector and spans both the advisory and operational spectrums of corporate governance, international affairs, intelligence, national security and law enforcement. I have worked in law enforcement on both a state and federal level. On the law enforcement side, I specialized in complex white collar crime cases and public integrity matters. After a long career in the private sector, I re-entered government to join the National Security Council. President Clinton named me a Special Advisor to the President on National Security and International Crime and Corruption matters. My responsibilities included providing The White House with unique functional expertise in assessing the existing and emerging threats international crime and corruption posed to the national security interests of the United States and providing guidance designed to identify, disrupt and prevent illicit financial transactions that threatened national security interests. I also represented the White House and President Clinton at a number of global summits and diplomatic events both in the U.S. and abroad.
