Michael (Mike)'s Story
Life
Mike was born in Miami, Florida, where he lived until age 10. He lived in Memphis, Tennessee until 1974, when he moved to Charlotte, North Carolina, where he resided with his wife, Becky, until moving to Canada in 1998. Mike and Becky returned to the USA in June of 2003 and now reside in Hiram, Georgia, just outside of Atlanta.
He is a graduate of Memphis State University with a Bachelor of Science degree, majoring in psychology. He graduated from Southeastern Baptist Theological Seminary with a Master of Divinity degree, majoring in church history, New Testament studies and urban ministry. He recently received a Doctor of Ministry degree from Christian Life School of Theology. He was ordained as a Southern Baptist minister in 1986 and co pastored, along with Becky, a Southern Baptist church in Charlotte, North Carolina for several years.
Mike subsequently served as an Associate Pastor of MorningStar Fellowship from 1992 until 1996, while also working in their Publishing Department as a graphics artist. During that time he also led prophetic ministry teams at MorningStar Fellowship and MorningStar conferences.
In 1995, the Lord gave Mike and Becky a vision for Firestarter Ministries in which they traveled to local churches and cell groups throughout the United States for two years, conducting training courses in prophetic ministry, evangelism, healing and deliverance. In 1997, Mike attended Ellel Ministries CanadaÂs School of Evangelism, Healing and Deliverance.
From April 1998 to May 2003, Mike was the Teaching/Training Manager at Singing Waters Ministries of Orangeville, Ontario. He was responsible for the planning, developing and conducting of all Training Courses and Schools held by the Ministry and in local churches, as well as developing teachers and trainers for them.
In August 2003, Mike joined the Pastoral Team of Great Commission Fellowship in Powder Springs, Georgia as Discipleship Pastor. In 2004, Mike became Senior Pastor, along with his wife, Becky.

"How shall I live?" He not only demonstrates spiritual gifts, but is devoted to equipping others to walk in them also.

Mike graduated from White Station High School in Memphis, Tennessee which he attended from 1959 through 1961. He was a member of the basketball and baseball teams.
College

Workplace
After graduating from Memphis State University (now the University of Memphis), Mike worked at CNA Insurance from 1968 through 1978 in Memphis, TN and Charlotte, NC. In 1978, he began work at Commercial Union Insurance where he worked until 1984, when he went to school at Southeastern Baptist Theological Seminary in Wake Forest, NC. From 1985 to 1989 he pastored Steele Creek Baptist Church in Charlotte, NC. From 1991 until 1996, Mike worked for MorningStar Ministries in Charlotte. In 1996, Mike and his wife Becky formed Firestarter Ministries International, which exists today for the purpose of equipping churches in the areas of discipleship, healing and deliverance. In 1997, he went to work for Singing Waters Ministries of Orangeville, Ontario, Canada. In 2003, he joined the Pastoral team of Great Commission Fellowship in Powder Springs, GA. In 2004, Mike moved into the position of Senior Pastor. Military
Mike was trained by the ROTC Unit at Memphis State University and then served six years with the Tennessee Air National Guard.
