Michael's Story
Life
I just moved to a new area from Newark where i pretty much lived from high school on. I'm single and its great. Arlington is pretty much an older college town with everyone 21-28. Bars all over the place to go and hang out at. I'm an avid scuba diver and certified as a rescue diver and hopefully soon to work my way up to a dive master.
School
High school pretty much sucked. Was pretty reclusive about thoughts and ideas. I guess it bored me too much.
College
College really helped me open up. I started off as a Chemical Engineer and switched over half way through my soph. year to Computer and Info. Science with a concentration in Future Economical Analysis. Finished my second B.S. in Economics with a concentration in Internet Economics and Game theory.
I joined a Fraternity my soph year. Helped me realize how much is out there that I've never heard of or thought about. Allowed me to open up because I know I might be doing the same for others. It was my first time really hanging out and partying and I can't thank my friends enough for all they've done for me.
Workplace
I just started a new job here in Reston/Arlington Virginia for Unisys. I'm in training now, but should be done in a couple days, I've picked it up a litt...Expand for more
le faster than others, and they believe in training under fire. All I really know about my job right now is that I should be doing alot of traveling around the country. Since i dont' know much here is my role description.
Works on billable engagements to provide support, advice and guidance on the correct application of a services/products/technology solution or technique. Designs, develops and implements solutions by using standard methods, techniques and tools. Works under the general supervision of more senior consultants. Works across several different areas of specialization to develop an understanding of available career paths. Establishes the parameters for configuration, testing and debugging of software and/or systems software. Assists in installing, configuring, and optimizing services/products/technology solutions. Analyzes, designs, develops, implements, and maintains a variety of client environments or solutions. Assists with assessing, gathering and evaluating client capabilities and needs. As assigned by management, assists in pre-sales efforts in addition to working on billable engagements. Assists with sales support -- answers technical questions and helps others develop portions of proposals, presentations and demonstrations.
