Michael's Story

Life after AT I`m currently the Director of Purchasing for the Doubletree Hotel San Diego-Mission Valley. I procure all the food, beverage and property operation supplies. I negotiate and renegotiate contracts with suppliers. It`s alot more exciting than it sounds. I also have my own Catering business. I gaduated from the Culinary Institute of America in New York in 1992. I started my career as a lowly cook. go. I eventually became the Corporate Chef for the Pazzo group, overseeing 5 restaurants. That was super stressfull. I did a 2 year stint as Executive Chef for The Briagantine Seafood restaurant in Point Loma San Diego upon relocating to Cali. I was the Chef de Cusine for the Doubletree until the Director of Purchasing retired. I now actualy know what it feels like to have holidays and weekends off. That brings me to my children. I have 5 beautiful kids. Ariel(19), Michael(14), Gregory(11), Naomi(4), and Ibis(2). They keep me busy on my time away from work.
