Michael's Story
Life
I've been around the block a few times. I started this life as an old man. As I venture further into my 30's I am finding myself trying to enjoy life and not take everything too seriously. Moody, contemplative, a tad bit esoteric, and witty are how I would best describe myself- while not trying to sound too snooty. As everyone experiences, I have had my fair share of defeat and accomplishment.
I am beginning to finally remove the Catholic Guilt/Shame from my life. That has been a long hard road to traverse but it is all about baby steps.
Therapy is a wonderful thing
Things I have been doing with myself for the last 15 years... Working in Kitchens, I know run a Kitchen in a Pub in Seattle. Writing, my first book was published and will be released to the masses in November 2004. Music, Still DJing occasionally, still collecting, and every now and then I find myself pulling out the Keyboards and writing up little ditties. My cat, his name is Hudson, after "Whatever happ...Expand for more
ened to Baby Jane" and he is a monster. But I love him... good kitty. good puss....
Friends, I have few but a close knit family. We spend most of our time socializing with eachother and discussing the world/philosophy/politics/food/theatre/opera/arts
All is actually quite okay with me and my life right now.
School
School... school... school... the agony of it, the constant repetition of it. I hated it yet I can see the necessary evil wasn't so bad after all. I would never go back. I would loathe to do it all again. BUT... if I did, knowing what I know now, I would be a lot more aggressive with various aspects about my life, not so meek and timid, and would have stood up for myself to all those who enjoyed tormenting me all through junior high and my freshman year of high school. (But they gave me another facet of who I am today. To them I am thankful. Warped huh...)
I would take voice/chorus this time around just to learn how to sing. I still would be a loner- fine by me.
