Michael's Story
I left my hometown of West Paterson in 1988 for a job as a Graphic Artist. I moved to Baltimore because the company re-located. I hated it my first day,but remained with the job till 1996. I left with a severence pkg,and basically moved from job to job. I began doing cartoons as a hobby while collecting un-employment. I had a few published nationally. In 96 I also changed my last name to Flynn. It was hard being a Dick all those years. Of course, deep down I knew I was portraying someone else. Many of the people I met in Maryland never knew. Hey, I paid a lawyer to do it. Why brag to everyone I'm really a dick. at the big theater near where I lived. Jerry Lewis was perhaps one of the most amazing encounters. I have the picture to prove it. I also met Roddy Mcdowell,David Cassidy,Ray Charles,and BBKing to name drop a few. I just happened to be there. I married and divorced 2x,very bad. In all I remained in Baltimore 21 years. In 2005, I had a heart attack,and had 8 stents put in my arteries. Yeah, that woke me up. I met a wonderful woman named Maria from Queens,NY, while visiting in 2009,and now reside with her here in Queens. So, I've finally returned. Only, the economy sucks!! All in all, life has been good,but I wish I'd gone right to college instead of partying for 8 years. We've all grown up since those days. Check out my website:flynntoons.com
