MICHAEL H.FAIRHURST
Michael Fairhurst is the president of Sandhurst Communications, a video production and media consulting firm.
Fairhurst is an Emmy-Award-winning television producer and manager with twenty years of experience. Prior to founding Sandhurst Communications, he had a long and distinguished career at Public Television stations in New Jersey and New York.
Fairhurst rose to the rank of Acting Director of News and Public Affairs at New Jersey Network (PBS), overseeing a statewide news operation, whose programs are viewed in two of the top markets of the United States. Through the years he has worked in just about every position in the newsroom.

g Service and the Associated Press. He planned and produced NJNÃÂs coverage of two presidential conventions.
For more than a decade Fairhurst has worked for the U.S. State Department and the Voice of America, training television and radio broadcasters from more than thirty countries. He has led workshops on topics including on-camera reporting and production, the management and organization of television stations and freedom of the press.
Prior to working at NJN, Fairhurst was a senior public affairs producer for WNET in New York. While on the staff of Columbia UniversityÃÂs Graduate School of Journalism he directed and co-produced Fred W. FriendlyÃÂs ÃÂNews and the LawÃÂ, a seminar series on First Amendment law.
Fairhurst resides at the Jersey Shore with his wife, Sandra Levine and their daughter, Caroline.
