ing: oldest) editor at Memphis Magazine and The Memphis Flyer, but that job just means I do a lot of typing. When I look back on my colorful existence, if you don't count the years in prison for "crimes against nature" (trumped-up charges!!), my best job was serving as a bartender at Shakey's Pizza Parlor. Perhaps some of you saw me there, in my jaunty styrofoam hat and striped shirt? A job with dignity! I married a nice girl from Colonial (she actually graduated from Germantown) named Sherri Weathers, and in our spare time we run a Home for Unwed Cheerleaders. Somebody has to.
