Michael's Story

Life What a long strange trip it's been. After high school, I moved to Phoenix, with Jeff Bohan to go to DeVry tech School. Jeff changed his mind and moved home. I decided playing rock & roll and partying was more interesting than tech school. Rob Smith and Brian Classmeyer moved out to Phoenix with me. I don't really know what happened to Brian. Rob and I met Paul Marceau(sp?) nephew of Marcel Marceau the famous mime. He wanted to manage our band(which didn't really exist). So, we moved to Las Vegas where his "connections" were. Well, he turned out to be a total nut case! So, I got a job building highrises and Rob went to work for the casinos. I left Vegas in '88 to move back to Salinas where I tended bar and played ...Expand for more
a little music. Once I realized that I was a truly bad musician, I decided to go back to school. I thought I would become a doctor or a lawyer. After interviewing a few(they all hated their jobs), I decided to go to Chinese medicine school. Got a masters degree in Chinese medicine and an acupuncture license. I moved to Tucson to study martial arts with a top Xing Yi Quan(kung fu) man. I have a private practice. And, I work with Dr. Andrew Weil and the University of Arizona Medical School. I teach MD's about Chinese medicine and develop content for a distance learning program in Integrative Medicine. Life is continues to unfold. The Tao Te Ching says "Change is the only constancy."
